We shoot a few multigun matches each year . We welcome new shooters to attend any match! We set up for the match on the Friday evening before the match, and tear down immediately after the match scoring is complete. This is an all-volunteer activity, so please try to help out by setting up and tearing down the stages!
The equipment you will need to shoot a multigun match depends on the division you compete in. We have a division for everyone. You can compete at any multigun match with just a rifle and a pistol, or you can use a shotgun as well. Here is an idea of the gear and ammunition you would want to bring.
- Ear and eye protection
- Sturdy belt
- Handgun 9mm or larger
- Holster for handgun
- Two or three magazines for handgun
- 100 rounds of handgun ammunition
- Shotgun (Pump or Semi-auto) – if you shoot a division with a shotgun
- 75 rounds of shot shells; 5 slugs
- No steel shot
- Carrier for extra shot shells
- Semi-auto rifle (AR-15 most common)
- No steel core bullets! We will check, and you won’t be able to shoot if you bring them.
- 2 rifle magazines
Safety is always our first priority. We run a “cold” range. Please bring all firearms unloaded. Ask a range officer at the registration table what to do with your firearms.
For these matches we will use USPSA Multigun divisions and rules. More information can be found at https://uspsa.org/
